A brief history of the Maypole Brewery.

Maypole Brewery ceases production. Some Maypole brands now being brewed at Milestone.
Martyn Langdale, owner of the highly acclaimed ‘The Eight Jolly Brewers’ at Gainsborough, buys the old Maypole plant and Rob returns as business partner and brewer. Brewing recommences as Maypole Brewery Ltd. in March. November sees the installation of a fourth fermenting vessel, taking production up from 22 firkins to 32 firkins a week.
Martyn leaves the partnership and Rob becomes sole owner, going on to build a strong portfolio of core beers.
Rob sets up a sister brewery to Maypole, Prior’s Well Brewery, in the lovely Hardwick Village in Clumber Park near Worksop. Prior’s Well opens in 2010.
